TikTok Engagement Rate Calculator

Enter public post metrics and calculate engagement by followers or by views.

Calculator

Likes + comments + shares + saves.

Use target rate to see how many more interactions the post needs.

Formula

Engagement rate = (likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ followers or views × 100. Use the same denominator when comparing multiple accounts.

Follower rate vs view rate

Follower-based engagement is useful for account audits and influencer comparisons. View-based engagement is better for individual videos because TikTok distribution can reach far beyond existing followers.

What is a good TikTok engagement rate?

For many accounts, 2-4% is workable, 4-8% is healthy, and 8%+ is strong. Benchmarks vary by niche, audience size, and whether you divide by followers or views.

Why include saves?

Saves signal intent and future value. If you do not have save data, leave it at zero and compare results consistently.

Need context for the numbers?

If you are comparing follower rate, view rate, saves, shares, or RPM across different pages and platforms, the creator metrics glossary explains when each metric is useful and what it misses. For details on how this calculator is maintained, see the methodology page.
